A full replan of the central clubhouse at Thorn Flats: recladding, refinishing and a new sequence of gathering, fitness and learning rooms for a multifamily community.
The problem
The existing amenity building had to stay in service while its envelope, interiors and programme were rebuilt. Residents still needed a front door, a gym and a place to meet during construction.
What we did
We treated the roofscape as the organising device: interlocking volumes around a clear entrance, then a restrained interior palette with one marked meeting room and an open entertainment hall that combines dining, media and lounge.
Outcome
The clubhouse reads as a single new building from the street and works as a daily amenity inside, without taking the community offline for a full shutdown.
